Identify the offered reels
Start with a reel identifier and fiber length. A batch report is useful only when it can be linked to the material being offered. Do not treat a historical reel list as a live inventory statement.
Check wavelengths and units
Attenuation is typically presented in dB/km at specified wavelengths. Geometry is commonly presented in micrometers. Keep the wavelength, unit and test condition with every numerical value when translating or comparing records.
Separate specification from measurement
A product datasheet states a reference specification. A quality report contains measurements for particular material. Confirm that the reported grade and test conditions match the purchasing specification, and resolve missing fields before an order.
Connect documentation to shipment
Request the reel list, packing list and agreed batch report together. Confirm carton and pallet details, handling requirements and the delivery destination during quotation.
