Bandwidth is one part of the design
The supplied Nanfang manual lists effective modal bandwidth at 850 nm of at least 2,000 MHz·km for OM3-300 and 4,700 MHz·km for OM4. Both are 50/125 μm graded-index multimode fibers intended for compatible short-reach optical systems.
Evaluate the whole channel
A fiber bandwidth specification does not by itself guarantee an Ethernet transmission distance. The transceiver interface, connector count, splice losses and total channel length all matter. Confirm the intended optical module and its link budget when specifying a fiber.
Keep the specification complete
Ask for core and cladding geometry, attenuation at the operating wavelengths, coating diameter and supporting batch records. State whether you are sourcing bare fiber for cabling or a finished cable assembly; these are different products.
Plan for verification
Use the supplier product sheet for the offered grade and verify the finished network against its own acceptance criteria. The values here summarize reference literature and are not a test result for a new batch.
